It was with a very heavy heart that I pulled out the G45 Little Darlings paper pad. If I were to cut up these papers, that project had to be really good, afterall these have been my fav papers ever since I set eyes on them.
Well... I am very happy with the outcome - a mini album to record first year milestones of my little baby boy :))
Sunehra is so right when she says how time deprived a new mom is to create a full scrapbook album to record all those precious baby moments. Click here to see her exploding box for the nursery and more about the Precious Baby Challenge running at Itsy Bitsy.
I missed out on making an album for my first one, so this time decided a mini is better than nothing.
Warning: Picture heavy post. Next time Ill post a video instead. Grab yourself a cuppa, site back and enjoy d beauty of G45 lil darlings.
The outer cover of the album is made from one 12x12 sheet and Ive used a very simple accordion fold for the spine. The album measures 7.5 inches by 3.5 inches a rather odd size, but very convenient to slip into your handbag. There are 8 pages excluding the inside of the cover for tags / photographs all created with only 3 pieces of paper. Can you spy on the cover a doily, lace, bling, a prima bulb among the layers? Yes, I fussy cut the butterflies so they didnt look trapped in the paper, lol, but their centres are still part of the paper strip.
Here is the inside of the cover and first page. The papers offer so many options to cut out and use as tags, borders, I didn't really feel the need for any additional em bellies like chipboard or stickers. Through the mini, Ive made bands out of the papers to slide tags behind. One side of the tag has been painted with white acrylic just enough to tone down the background to enable journalling.
Kaisercraft rub on and scrap from a border punch used to frame the left side page. The right side is a big sheet of paper folded in half. Both pages have a band to slide in tags.
My Fav page.. its one sheet folded into two......aren't those sleeping beauties dripping with cuteness. On the right side page, a page border and rocking girl make another band to tuck in tags.
On the left, you can see the border punched paper whose scrap was used to frame the Treasured page.
The right hand page is a fold out page. Inside is the most beautiful graphic (according to me) of the collection. Ive fussy cut coordinating frames to make another band and tags
Finally, onto the last page - a simple pocket on the left. The left is the inside of the cover and the tage has been tucked under fussy cut cabbage babies.
A big heartfelt thank you for making it this far down
my post, hope you enjoyed. I would love to hear your thoughts, your comments mean a lot to me.
